Charter School Residency Program
Our Charter School Residency Program is for Title 1 charter schools that want a jazz program. Schools apply to program, pay Jazz Empowers a programming fee, and Jazz Empowers runs the jazz program for the entire school year. For more information visit our Charter School Residency Program Page.

Band director support program
Schools that are accepted into our Band Director Support Program will receive a $1,000 grant that can be used for instruments, sheet music, and other resources needed in order to run their program effectively. For more information visit our Band Director Support Program Page. While we are based in Nashville, we support band directors remotely. If you are a band director of a Title 1 school anywhere in the U.S. and are interested in applying to this program, email firstname.lastname@example.org. The application window for the 2018-2019 school year will be open through May 10th 2018.
We are looking to hire contracted music educators in Los Angeles, New Orleans, Houston, Chicago, Detroit, Dallas, Miami, New York City City, Washington DC, and Philadelphia to lead the jazz programs at our partner schools for the 2018-2019 school year. Jazz band directors will be responsible for teaching the ensemble comprised of 10-25 students for the entire school year. Highly qualified educators will have experience teaching music in group settings, have strong behavior management skills, and be able to teach beginner students the basics of trombone, trumpet, alto sax, piano, bass, guitar, and drums.
