Online Support Site
On August 1st, 2018, we will be launching our Online Support Site. The main goals of the site will be to provide high quality resources for students to use at their own pace, while also being an online hub for jazz band directors to utilize as a high-level instructional resource.
The student section of the site will be comprised of videos for students to use during individual practice time. Our videos will include instrument specific warm ups, music theory lessons, video lessons teaching songs from our curriculum, and videos of the jazz greats. Students will be able to access this portion of the support site for free and without a log in in order to maximize accessibility.
The instructor portion of the website will include lesson plans, pacing guides, arrangements of jazz standards, and full access to the Jazz Empowers curriculum. Instructors will have to create a sign in to access this portion of the support site, however music educators at all Title 1 (low income serving schools) will have free access to the site. Music educators teaching at non-Title 1 schools will be required to pay a fee to access the site.
Stay tuned for more updates about the site!
