More than 200 students, families, and supporters packed Roulette Intermedium in Brooklyn for the Third Annual Jazz Empowers New York City Student Showcase, celebrating the incredible talent, energy, and future of jazz education in one of the world's great jazz cities.

More than 230 students, families, and community members packed The Mint in Los Angeles for the inaugural Jazz Empowers LA Student Showcase, celebrating the talent, energy, and community of young jazz musicians from across Southern California.

Two schools supported through the Jazz Empowers Grand Director Support Program — Susan E. Wagner High School and Alexander Hamilton High School — were selected among the top 20 high school jazz bands in the nation to compete at Jazz at Lincoln Center’s 31st Annual Essentially Ellington Competition & Festival in New York City.

Jazz Empowers welcomed 150 guests to Analog at the Hutton Hotel for an unforgettable evening of student performances, jazz excellence, and community impact — successfully raising $20,000 to support jazz education programs across the country.
